About Scaled Energy

Scaled Energy Ltd was created in 2009 by Zeno Kerr, David Stirling and Andrew Douglas Miller.

A fully MCS accredited renewable technology, supply and installations company, Scaled Energy specialises in small wind turbines from 5kW to 100kW.

The ethos of Scaled Energy is based on integrity; recommending only the technologies that fit our customers' requirements and offering clear and fair agreements. We concentrate on professionalism, honesty and efficiency and pride ourselves on achieving new business via recommendation. Everything that we do is based on a quality, personalised service, avoiding the 'salesmen in suits' perception that has become associated with some renewable energy installations.

We offer a turnkey service to customers, ranging from farmers to landowners and other rural businesses, from an initial site feasibility and site survey, to supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance. We also carry out professional services including managing consent in planning and grid connections.

We offer a range of wind turbines ranging from 5kW to 50kW rated capacity and work with the very best manufacturers and contractors to ensure a seamless service from first visit through the life of the turbine.

Zeno Kerr – Managing Director

Zeno is the Managing Director of Scaled Energy and is our lead for technology choice, system design and installation. He has many years experience within the wind industry on both a technical and commercial level having worked on a variety of critical projects and supply and installation contracts for companies such as Tesco, London Climate Change Agency, Jewsons, RBS, Taylor Woodrow and Integral.

Prior to the formation of Scaled Energy he was as Head of Technical Sales with Renewable Devices, a Scotland based micro wind turbine manufacturer and renewable consultancy.

There is very little that Zeno doesn’t know about wind and solar energy technologies!

David Stirling – Sales Director

David is a lead organic farmer and estate owner in central Scotland and a strong advocate for farm diversification into renewable energy and as such has been working on micro hydro and anaerobic digestion projects renewable energy for a number of years.

David’s role within Scaled Energy focuses on new business and B2B contracts focussing wherever possible on larger projects. He is currently leading the negotiations on a number of large scale Solar PV projects.

David was a joint Founder of Save the Rhino International a successful and highly regarded conservation charity and remains a Trustee.

Andrew Douglas Miller – Operations Director

Andrew is a successful company director with 20 years experience in operating department stores and horticultural products at the top end of the market. A former owner of Jenners, Andrew has a proven track record of success in managing a number of multi-million pound projects, with the ability to motivate and lead a large team, and ultimately deliver a high quality of service to the customer.

Andrew’s role at Scaled Energy concentrates on building our strong customer care ethos and long-term client relationships, ensuring successful delivery of all projects and maintaining our high standards.
